My brothers and I took my dad to Las Vegas for his birthday. He's talked about seeing the Grand Canyon since I was kid, but he's worked nearly every day of his life and never got around to it. That changed when we booked an airplane tour over the South Rim. He loved it, and talks about the tour as if it happened yesterday. Thanks for the recommendation. It made our father's day!
Hat's off to you, Mr. Kravitz! My "Girls in Vegas" meet up was a huge success, especially because we topped off the weekend with a flight to the West Rim and the Skywalk. We felt like VIP's, zipping out of Vegas, landing at Grand Canyon West, helicoptering down to the River, rafting the rapids (OK, slight exageration)...How many people can say they've done that?!? 
My childhood dream was to see the Grand Canyon. I read your reviews in earnest, and picked Grand Canyon Airlines. Fantastic! The Grand Canyon is so huge. The Kaibab Plateau goes on forever. The gorge is so deep it feels like it will swallow you. I was so excited the entire trip. I never wanted it to end. I will come back to American next year and do it again! 
The Grand Canyon was my daughter's graduation gift. She's heading off to college to study ecology and the National Park was a natural choice. She couldn't keep her face out of the window. The scenery below mesmerized her. My wife was wearing a smile the whole time. There are moments in a family's life, and this was most certainly one of them. I can't think of a better way to bond. 
My husband and I are new parents. We've always been into the outdoors. Since the birth of Fritz, we've been bound to the house. My folks asked us to meet them at the Grand Canyon. I had us packed five minutes after I hung up the phone. The airplane ride was unbelievable. Fritzy was great. He fell in love with the plane. This might sound goofy but I'm sure he'll remember parts of the tour. Time will tell. What a great first trip for the family album!
